75 Hard Adventures

Are you familiar with Andy Frisella’s 75 Hard Challenge? It is a transformational mental toughness program. It is appropriately summed up as an Ironman for your brain. This cannot be more accurate 💯

I initially learned about 75 Hard from a Facebook friend. My first thought was similar to many others…. Why would anyone do THAT? If you’ve been following me for awhile, you’ve learned that I love a challenge. In March 2021, I was looking for something and decided “Why Not!” Initially I didn’t tell anyone in case I didn’t see it through. A couple of weeks later I decided to go public.

Little did I know at the time that after finishing 75 Hard, there were additional phases to complete the #livehard program. Now that I know about it, I HAVE to do it!

Zero substitutions ~ Zero Compromises

I began Phase 3 on March 2, 2022. WOW!!! What a journey Phase 3 of 75 Hard has been so far and I’m only 10 days in. Its gone fast but on the contrary, it feels like day 54 🤪

I’m an introvert by nature, so the “Conversation with a Stranger” part where you exchange names and learn something about the other person was my biggest fear. I’ve learned that most people are caught off guard when you engage conversation with them. Its like they are thinking “why is this lady talking to me!” Then they relax and the conversation naturally flows. So far I’ve met Walgreens clerks, waitresses, volunteers, dog dad, writer, painter, vet tech. After each interaction, my new friend and I are left smiling 😊

The “Random Act of Kindness” is just like keeping an attitude of gratitude. Its amazing how many opportunities present themselves if you look for them.

About those 5 Minute Cold Showers 🥶. Truly a love/hate relationship. Don’t knock it until you try it. Initially its mentally painful, but with each second your body begins to adapt to it. I like to keep it fun by playing music. The extended version of Madonna’s song “Jump” is 5 minutes 8 seconds. LOVE the song and makes the time go by fast. I ALWAYS emerge from the shower feeling invigorated 💃

Have you tried anything new lately?
