Lessons From the Flu

I was over it by Day Two… Now it’s Day Five…

Every day I’m moving in the right direction. Slowly… But a little progress is better than none.

My patience has been tested as I’ve been forced to slow down. Yet, I have no energy to do anything anyways.

I’m listening to my body. Surrendering to rest. Nurturing myself the best I can, considering I have no appetite.

I realize I shouldn’t even complain. There are people with far more serious health concerns. I’m just impatient with the process of recovery and ready to resume my normal routine. (Besides, I have BIG plans this weekend 😝)

Thank you for listening to my rant. Now I’m going to reach over for a dose of gratitude: I have health insurance that allowed me a doctor visit and prescription medications. AND thanks to my husband, I’m able to stay home for a week to get well. AND I have amazing family & friends that love me ❀️

Take care my friends 😊
