Traditional Easter breakfast… bunny ears. Duh!!!
It was a beautiful Lenten season ending with a joyous Easter celebration!!!
Tradition remained, and we came to our beloved beach in Pensacola. Unfortunately, we were missing my New Yorker, so we FaceTimed him and even cropped him into our brunch picture. Gotta love technology 👍🏼
So back to the chocolate for breakfast. All was well. Nice balance during the day… until nighttime. I kinda sort of overindulged. Well, ok, I did. Since my body is no longer used to consuming this amount of sugar (or anything in excess) my body revolts from it. And let’s face it, I’m a lightweight- it doesn’t take much! What does it do? It literally gives me a hangover.
- Cotton mouth
- Headache
- Irritability
- Fatigue
- Hot flashes that put menopause to shame
No, this one night will not ruin my progress. No, it’s not the end of the world.
Was it worth it??? Yes AND No
Yes: It served as a reminder that my way of living the WW lifestyle of balance & moderation keeps my body running smooth.
No: The physical & mental effects is something I can live without.
Lesson Learned: Excess of anything for me is toxic.
The beauty of my journey is being in tune with my body. I’m a firm believer of listening to it. And I’m listening!!!
Now back to the beautiful Florida sunshine ☀️

Lisa, I feel your pain with sugar. However, the battle is worth it in the end to follow a much healthier lifestyle.

Yes it is!!! I rarely eat sweets, and when I do it’s very little. Not sure why I overindulged like I did, but ick!!! Thank you for your feedback 😊
