Today, I made a quick trip to Lafayette to see my mom and pick up my textbooks for the summer semester, which starts next week. Being on the campus of UL Lafayette brings me so much joy!!! At my age, I appreciate my education more than I ever did in the 1980s.
When I returned to school online in the Fall of 2022 to “test the waters,” I never dreamed of graduating. It seemed too far away and impossible. But with the encouragement of my family and friends, it’s now within reach, one class and one semester at a time.
Imagine, Believe, Achieveβat ANY age. This motto perfectly sums up my educational journey. I’ve learned to imagine my goals, believe in my ability to reach them, and work hard to achieve them. This mindset has been key to my success.
So, if you’re considering going back to school or pursuing any goal, remember: it’s never too late. Imagine what you can achieve, believe in yourself, and you’ll find that anything is possible.
I’m proud to be a Ragin Cajun, class of 2025 at UL Lafayette Online π
