Are you a leader or a follower?

Reading this question, my first instinct is to say that I am a follower. Sooo, I thought I would reflect further and look at attributes of both.

A follower is

• Supportive: Followers provide essential support to leaders and the team.

• Collaborative: They work well within a team, helping achieve common goals.

• Reliable: Followers are dependable and can be trusted to complete tasks.

A leader is

• Visionary: Leaders set a clear direction and inspire others to follow.

• Decisive: They make important decisions confidently and promptly.

• Motivational: Leaders encourage and motivate their team to reach their full potential.

I feel more like a follower at heart, valuing collaboration and support. However, over the past several years, I have embraced leadership roles, guiding and inspiring others while still appreciating the importance of teamwork and support. If I can educate, empower, and inspire others through my daily actions, then that is a win, whether as a follower or a leader.
