What makes you feel nostalgic?
My word of the year was Bloom, and after reflecting on 2023, I’d have to say that it truly was a year of blooming.
I bloomed with my educational journey, completing four classes in the Spring semester and five in the Fall, achieving excellence both terms and making the President’s List. Music Appreciation, true to its title, provided me with a newfound appreciation for the art form. Plant Science became a captivating subject, and conquering Algebra after a 39-year hiatus was a significant triumph, thanks to the dedicated support of my teacher and an exceptional local tutor.
Our family blossomed with anticipation of a new grandchild from my daughter, who is expecting, and wedding plans underway for my son and his fiancé. Steven’s retirement in June was a cause for joy, marked by numerous celebratory family gatherings. Steven & I celebrated 35 years of marriage in Turks and Caicos.
This year I discovered Pilates and returned to my yoga practice. I’m excited to elevate these practices to new heights in the coming year, as I embark on Yoga Teacher Training.
As we bid farewell to 2023, I look forward to living up to my 2024 word of the year – Empowering!!! Stay tuned… the best is yet to come!!!
