Our Pups Improve Our Lives

When Steven & I decided to become dog owners in 2020, we had now idea the level of joy would be brought into our lives. Buster came into our lives in January of 2021 and after only 48 hours with us, he was diagnosed with Parvovirus. Having no idea what that meant, we were expecting to leave the vets office with a prescription. Instead, we left him behind with trusted veterinarians who helped Buster for the fight of his life. Long story short, Buster is our miracle pup. I feel like Buster knows he beat the odds and has an appreciation for life.

Wanting a playmate for Buster, we decided to adopt his full brother, Boomer, from a different litter. Enter Boomer in November 2021. Boomer lives up to his name and is a firecracker. Third times the charm is his slogan. Boomer, originally named Remi, was given as a wedding present to newlyweds that weren’t exactly prepared for that responsibility. They kept him for a brief time before returning him to back to sender. Then someone else was ready to adopt him, but backed out at the last minute. Lucky for us.

Although they are full brothers from two different litters, their personalities are like night and day. Buster is chill; Boomer is hyper. Buster stays on the path; Boomer goes out of his way to walk in the mud. Buster is a kid at heart, loves playing with his toys; Boomer prefers squirrels and will rip your arm out of the socket on a walk when he spots one! Meanwhile, Buster is cluelessly trotting along!

They love hiking as much as we do, 2022

Steven & I learned that our beloved Buster & Boomer are more than just pets, they are family too. They brought life back into our empty nest. We cherish them for their loyalty, but their impact on our lives goes beyond companionship. They boost our mood and keep us active ~ I LOVE our morning walks.
