August was a whirlwind of adventure, and we wrapped it up in style with a fantastic trip to California, where Nicholas & Christina welcomed us with open arms and southern hospitality. ☀️ Additionally, let’s take a moment to recap some incredible August highlights:

Rocky Mountain Exploration: We kicked off the month with an epic adventure in the Rocky Mountains, covering over 50 miles of breathtaking hiking trails. 🏞️

Family: An unforgettable surprise for my Mom, as we paid her a surprise visit and introduced her to our adorable Buster & Boomer 🐶💕

Academic Journey: As another semester at UL Lafayette began, I’m staying committed to my quest for graduation. 📚🎓

Concert Thrills: Our California adventure started with a bang at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View for the Foreigner concert. The weather was perfect for an outdoor concert, and watching Steven in his element to the tunes of Juke Box Hero was a highlight we won’t forget! 🎶

Baseball Fever: Friday was all about America’s favorite pastime as we cheered for the San Francisco Giants in their game against the Atlanta Braves at Oracle Park. Baseball and hotdogs with loved ones ~ the perfect combo! ⚾🌭

Friendship & Exploration: Saturday was a day of new connections as I finally got to meet my IG friend, Meg. Afterwards, we explored Saratoga, enjoyed breakfast at the Big Basin Cafe, and even had our grandpup Ody featured in a local artist’s calendar! Then, we soaked in the charm of Los Gatos along with yummy gelato at Dolce Spazio Dessert Cafe. 🍦🐶📸

Rocking the Night Away: Saturday night was a blast at San Pedro Square with the Math Class Band. A fun coincidence considering my ongoing college algebra journey! 🤓📚 Their rendition of “Don’t Stop Believing” became my Algebra theme song for the semester! 🎸🎤

Gymnastic Dreams: Our adventure reached its pinnacle on Sunday at the US Gymnastics Championships at the SAP Center in San Jose. Witnessing Simone Biles make history and meeting Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin was surreal. Keep an eye out for the rising star Joscelyn Roberson, named Athlete of the Year at just 17! 🤸‍♀️🏆

📝30-Day Streak: Daily prompts from Jetpack prompted me to take action and find joy in consistent blogging. It has brought me energy and happiness and I plan on keeping this hot streak going through September. 🔥
