The last thing I searched online for was wampum. I was looking for it to research the history and significance of wampum for my History class.

Wampum, defined as intricate shell beads, holds a rich history as a form of currency, notably utilized by the Dutch. These beautiful beads held purchasing power. Imagine, from a simple loaf of bread to a vast expanse of land, wampum held the ability to secure a diverse array of goods and properties. This revelation opened a window into a world where shells transformed into a means of commerce.

I have to admit, I’m enjoying my History class more than I expected and it’s only week 2. There’s so much more to come and I’m here for it!!!
