Where did your name come from?
This question requires two answers. As an adoptee, I was named at birth and upon adoption I was renamed.
My birth name is Kimberly, which was originated from the location of Kimberley in South Africa. Although I was born in 1965, Kimberly was the second most popular name for girls in the United States in 1966 and 1967. Kimberly means “From the wood of the royal forest” or “from the royal fortress meadow” — making it an excellent choice for a princess 👸🏼, as well as those who appreciate nature.

My given name Lisa, means “God’s promise” and originates from the Greek variation of the Hebrew Elisheba, Elisabet. Encompassing devotion, honor, and motherhood, Elisabeth bears substantial biblical significance as the mother of John the Baptist.
Lisa reached its peak in popularity during the 1960s. As a matter of fact, there were four Lisa’s in my grade!
Fun fact: The flower representing Lisa is a lily

This certainly was a fun daily prompt which caused me to reflect on my roots!
